Contract wallcovering is designed for the project market.It is extremely durable and hard wearing and is ideal for hotels, restaurants and other venues where there is a high level of foot traffic at the time of delivery.
This type of vinyl wallcovering does not have a sealed edge and therefore cannot be hung edge to edge. These roles are simply wrapped to minimize packing materials on the construction site. They are heavy and edges can be damaged during transportation.
By cutting on both sides, these edges can be removed for a perfect finish.
Nonetheless, in the case of contract wraps, you also need to consider the width of action and the nominal width.
The roll width is the total width of the drop, e.g. the width at the time of delivery.
The nominal width is the net width, i.e. the width remaining after double cutting.
When we finish covering the wall with the first wallcovering, when preventing the second one, please let the edges have a certain overlap area with the first one。
Then use a sharp blade to cut them down the middle along the steel rule, （but please be careful not to use too much force and cause damage to the wall in the process）。
Then carefully pull out the excess fabric from the outer and inner layers。
In the end, you just need to reinforce the center splice area with a roller to fit it.
